The interior AND the exterior of each unit including the lot is individually owned by each property owner, therefore, these properties are Townhomes, not Condos. This is important to know for both your homeowners insurance and your lender. For your homeowners insurance, you need more than just internal contents insurance, you need insurance for the building as well. Lenders - the HOA insurance policy will reflect that these properties are townhomes as well. Please do not contact the HOA asking that the lender be added as a loss payee to the existing policy.
